Cirencester - The Cotswolds Photos

Cirencester, the largest town in the Cotswolds, dates back to Roman times when it was one of the Roman regional capitals. The historic core still has its narrow medieval shopping streets, and many Roman remains are in the immediate area of the town. The modern Corinium Museum displays artifacts from the town's history, particularly the Roman era. Also of note is the Church of St John Baptist (12th-16thC) and the immense Cirencester Park.
